Hockey WhiteBoard is an innovative application designed for iOS 7 and later, featuring 64-bit support. It serves as a modern, digital alternative to traditional coaching tools, allowing coaches to demonstrate player and puck positioning on a virtual hockey rink. This universal app is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

With intuitive drag-and-drop functionality, users can easily reposition players and the puck using touch gestures. Pinch, zoom, scroll, and rotate options provide flexibility in focusing on various areas of the ice, with either a full-ice view or a zoomed-in perspective available. Coaches can represent teams using a diverse range of colors and customize player designations with personalized initials or numbers, accommodating up to three characters on the iPad and two on smaller devices. Additionally, labeling players' circles with names enhances communication during training sessions.

The application allows users to save player positions and labels for future use, as well as maintain distinct team data across multiple whiteboards. Originally introduced in March 2009 for the iPhone, Hockey WhiteBoard has been extensively updated to leverage advancements in iOS technology while integrating valuable user feedback over the years.

For those interested in drawing paths or making annotations on the board, Hockey WhiteBoard provides three customizable drawing pens in red, green, and blue. Users can erase markings simply by tapping an icon or shaking their device to clear lines quickly. The inclusion of "trailing lines" helps illustrate the movement of players over time, enhancing strategic discussions.

Configuration is straightforward: users can double-tap on the ice surface or utilize on-screen controls to adjust player numbers, team colors, enable trailing lines, and manage saved boards. The integration of iCloud support facilitates access to team and whiteboard data across multiple iOS devices, ensuring seamless editing without compromising precision.

Hockey WhiteBoard is an effective teaching tool for players of all ages. Its engaging design appeals particularly to younger athletes, minimizing distractions compared to traditional methods. Even off the ice, coaches can use the application to outline strategies or scenarios, making it a versatile asset for training both during practice sessions and in-game situations.
